Isla de Pájaros Biological Reserve

 

4 hectare rocky Isla de Pajaros was founded in 1976. It is located northeast from Puntarenas in a very hot and dry tropical area where are plenty of sea birds breeding and a variety of fish and crabs. The vegetation of the island is composed of low forest and some plants.
