La Fortuna waterfall horseback adventure:

The length of the tour is approximately 4 hours. From La Fortuna we drive Southeast 5 ½ kilometers; then another 1 ½ hours to get to the horse ranch. Along the way you will enjoy views of the beautiful Costa Rican countryside, inclusive cattle farms and agriculture, not to mention the chance to see some birds such as oropendolas and toucans. Then you will walk five hundred meters into the forest to get to the waterfall, which is 70 meters high. At the base of the waterfall there is a “natural pool” where you can swim in the rejuvenative waters of the La Fortuna River for about an hour.

Arenal Volcano hike and thermal waters:

Prior to the active period of 1968, a lush canopy composed of vegetation covered the Arenal Volcano. People that climbed Arenal’ s summit noted that inside the crater there were big trees and at night, they slept in places with natural heat vents due to small steam outlets. At present, the green area is located on the east side of the mountain, as well as a smattering of little green sections that can be seen on the north and the south faces of the volcano.

Enjoy this most extraordinary view of the Arenal Volcano on a gentle hike along the base of this natural wonder. The hike begins on one of the trails close to the volcano. This trail will take us through the forest and over recent lava flows, as well as the area that was destroyed in 1968, now in the process of regeneration. We are going to be on this trail for about 2 ½ hours.

At the hot thermal springs our guests can enjoy a healthy and relaxing dip in the calming waters. It is also possible to witness the Arenal Volcano activity, such as plumes of white smoke emanating from the crater, from the comfort of the spa area. The number of local and foreign visitors has increased due to improvements of the road from Quesada City to La Fortuna. Likewise, one can now find all forms of tourist facilities, along with some of the friendliest people in La Fortuna.

Monteverde Cloud Forest adventure

Enjoy a 4 hour nature tour through the renowned Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve where a local professional bi-lingual naturalist guide will show and explain to you all the different macro/micro flora and fauna. Visit the Golden Toad's unique habitat. See birds like the Resplendent Quetzal (the most beautiful bird of the Americas), the Three-wattled Bell Bird, and the Black Faced Solitaire. Trees like Strangler Figs, Avocados and Cecropias are prevalent, as are Epiphytes like Bromeliads, Orchids and Mosses, along with a wide array of insects, mammals and reptiles.
